Connecting Microsoft Teams allows video meeting links to be generated automatically for scheduled appointments. When Microsoft Teams is selected as the meeting location, a unique Teams link is created for each booking and shared with all participants through the calendar invite.

This removes manual setup and ensures every virtual meeting is ready to join with a single click.

How Microsoft Teams Works With Appointments

When Microsoft Teams is connected, it becomes available as a meeting location option across supported calendars.

For every new booking where Microsoft Teams is selected:

  1. A unique meeting link is generated automatically

  2. The link is attached to the appointment

  3. Participants receive the link in the calendar invite

No separate meeting creation is required.

Connecting Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams can be connected from either profile settings or calendar connection settings. Both methods enable the same functionality.

After authentication is completed, Microsoft Teams appears as an active video conferencing option and is ready to use.

Adding Microsoft Teams to a Calendar

Once connected, Microsoft Teams can be selected as the meeting location for any supported calendar.

When saved, all future appointments created on that calendar will automatically include a Microsoft Teams meeting link.

Using Microsoft Teams in Appointments

For Teams links to generate correctly:

  1. The assigned team member must have Microsoft Teams connected

  2. Microsoft Teams must be selected as the meeting location

  3. The appointment must be saved or booked

Each booking generates a new, secure meeting link.

Important Notes

  • Microsoft Teams must be connected separately from email or calendar services

  • Only one Microsoft Teams account can be connected per user

  • The same Teams account can be reused by the same user across multiple workspaces

  • Removing the Teams connection disables automatic link generation for future bookings

Limitations

  • Only Microsoft Teams Work or School accounts are supported

  • Personal Microsoft Teams accounts are not eligible

  • Class-style booking calendars do not currently support dynamic Teams links

Q: Can Microsoft Teams be used with event-style calendars?

Ensure the Teams account is connected and the assigned team member has completed authentication.

Q: What happens if I remove the Microsoft Teams connection?

New appointments will no longer include Teams meeting links.
