What Is Google Meet?

Google Meet is a video conferencing tool used to host virtual meetings. When connected to a calendar, Google Meet automatically creates a unique meeting link for each appointment.

This ensures every booking includes a secure, ready-to-use video link without requiring users to manually create meetings.

How Google Meet Works With Calendar Appointments

When a Google Calendar account is connected, Google Meet is enabled automatically.

Each new appointment receives its own meeting link, which is attached directly to the calendar event. Participants can join the meeting with a single click, improving the overall scheduling and meeting experience.

No separate configuration is required specifically for Google Meet.

Connecting Google Meet

Google Meet becomes available automatically when a Google Calendar connection is added.

  1. Navigate to the calendar connections area in settings.

  2. Open the Video Conferencing section.

  3. Select Google Meet and proceed to connect your Google Calendar.

  4. Authenticate by choosing your Google account and granting the required permissions.

After authentication is completed, Google Meet is successfully connected and ready for use.

For meeting links to be created, a Google Calendar must be selected as the linked calendar.

When a Google Calendar is set as the linked calendar:

  1. Appointments created in the system sync to the calendar.

  2. Events created in the calendar sync back into the system.

  3. Google Meet links are generated automatically for each appointment.

If no linked calendar is selected, meeting links will not be created for appointments.

Once connected correctly, Google Meet appears as an active video conferencing option.

Removing Google Meet

Google Meet and Google Calendar connections are directly linked.

  1. Removing the Google Calendar connection also removes Google Meet.

  2. Disconnecting Google Meet will remove the associated calendar connection.

After removal, new appointments will no longer include video meeting links.
