What is the Footer Element in Email Builder?
The Footer element is a prebuilt, customizable content block that you can add to the bottom of your emails. It provides a convenient place to display essential business information, such as your company name, contact details, copyright notices, and unsubscribe links.
Instead of building a footer from scratch, you can drag and drop the element into your email template and customize its content and appearance using the Email Builder.
Footer Customization and Visibility Options
The Footer element includes design and visibility controls that help you tailor its appearance and behavior. Understanding these options makes it easier to create a footer that matches your email design and displays appropriately for recipients.
Note: Available customization settings and their placement may vary slightly between the Standard, AI, and Design editors.Content and Typography: Edit text, add hyperlinks, and customize fonts, sizes, colors, and alignment.
Colors and Spacing: Adjust background colors, text colors, padding, and spacing to create a balanced design.
Borders and Dimensions: Customize borders, height, width, and other supported styling options.
Device-Based Visibility: Choose whether the footer appears on desktop, mobile, or both.
Conditional Sending: Display or hide the footer based on contact field values, such as the contact's country.
Important: The Footer element is a design component and does not independently configure unsubscribe functionality. If you use LC Email, an unsubscribe link can be added automatically through your Business Profile settings. If you prefer to place the link manually, use the {{unsubscribe}} tag and configure the default setting appropriately to avoid duplicate links. Keep essential sender information and required unsubscribe options available to all applicable recipients.

How to Use the Footer Element in Email Templates
Adding the Footer element provides a consistent location for business information and important links. Customizing its content, appearance, and visibility helps ensure your footer fits your email design and remains accessible across devices.
Navigate to Marketing → Emails → Templates.
Open an existing email template or click + New to create a new one. Depending on the available options, you can start with a blank template, use a template from the library, create one from an existing campaign, import an email, or use Create with AI.
Once the template opens in the Email Builder, click the + Add Elements button.
Locate the Footer element in the Elements panel, then drag and drop it into your email template, preferably at the bottom.
Click the Footer element to customize its overall appearance. Adjust the available settings, such as background color, padding, spacing, borders, height, and width.
Click the text or individual components within the footer to edit their content and styling. Update business details, hyperlinks, typography, and colors as needed.
Optional: Open the Visibility settings to configure Desktop/Mobile visibility or enable Conditional Sending, where supported. For example, to display optional content only for contacts in the United States, select Country, choose the condition Is, and enter United States as the value.
Note: Applying Conditional Sending to the entire Footer element can hide it from contacts who do not meet the condition. Avoid applying conditions that would hide required business information or the only available unsubscribe option.
