Overview
Gift Cards can be redeemed while businesses collect payments directly from within the platform. Whether you're recording a payment, charging a customer, or creating a subscription, you can apply a customer's Gift Card balance as part of the payment process without requiring the customer to complete a checkout themselves.
During payment collection, simply enter the customer's Gift Card code to validate its balance. If the available balance covers the full amount due, the payment is completed using the Gift Card. If the balance is insufficient, the remaining amount is automatically charged using the customer's saved payment method, providing a seamless payment experience while accurately tracking Gift Card usage and remaining balances.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can businesses redeem Gift Cards the same way customers do at checkout?
Yes. Businesses can now redeem Gift Cards while collecting payments on behalf of customers, using the same redemption logic available in customer-facing checkouts.
What happens if the Gift Card balance is lower than the payment amount?
The available Gift Card balance is redeemed first, and the remaining amount is automatically charged using the customer's saved payment method or a new card can be added.
Can I redeem more than one Gift Card for a payment?
No. Currently, one Gift Card can be applied per payment.
Can I redeem an expired or fully used Gift Card?
No. Only active Gift Cards with an available balance can be redeemed.
Will the Gift Card balance update automatically after payment?
Yes. The remaining balance is updated immediately after a successful payment and is reflected on the corresponding Gift Card Order.
Can I use a Gift Card while creating a subscription?
Yes. A Gift Card can be used toward the initial subscription payment. Later payments or any pending balance in the initial payment has to mandatorily be from either one of the saved cards on file or by adding a new card. A subscription cannot be created with gift card alone.
Where can I see how much was redeemed using the Gift Card?
The Transaction Details page displays the amount redeemed using the Gift Card along with any remaining amount collected using another payment method.
